Description

Job Description: Analyzes supplier cost proposals and collects additional supporting cost and pricing data through the RFI (Request for Information), and supplier fact-finding processes. Develops cost models to support supplier proposal analysis efforts. Interfaces with responsible engineers regarding the incorporation of technical evaluations into the cost analysis. Compiles data and develops an objective cost analysis position to support the prime proposal Supply Chain cost estimate. Submits written supplier cost analysis reports detailing the suppliers cost proposal and the proposed supplier negotiations cost objective. Also, supports internal process of preparing and briefing procurement cost analysis presentations to attain formal Supply Chain Management approval to engage in supplier negotiations. Participates as a member of the subcontracts negotiating team. Participates in pricing reviews with management and customer representatives as required. Responds to misc internal and external Supply Chain Business Management requests for information regarding assigned suppliers. Develops should-cost scenarios. Ideal candidate should have a combination of work experience in a) program cost analysis in an engineering development and manufacturing environment, b) cost accounting c) pricing d) estimating. Government contract environment preferred. Requires the ability to meet deadlines in a challenging, multi tasking environment. Some Travel Required. Basic Qualifications: Bachelors degree or equivalent, min 10 Years related experience, 8 Years with Masters
