Description

DUTIES: As an expert possessing strong technical skills in one or more software and/or hardware engineering disciplines, performs a variety of complex engineering tasks associated with the analysis, design, and testing of Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) Systems and Tactical Data Links (TDL) in support of SPAWAR Systems Center Pacific. Participates as a key team member or lead on project teams, and provides guidance to less advanced engineers. Engineering activities will support both domestic and international products/services.   REQUIRED QUALIFCATIONS: Requires bachelors degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Math, Electrical Engineering or Information Technology) or equivalent and seven to nine years of related engineering experience.  This experience must include:

  • Five years of experience in direct Government contract project management with experience in directing a technical team.
  • Four years of experience in managing the operation, maintenance, and integration of various communication systems into the SSC PAC Combined Test Bed (CTB) or System Integration Facility (SIF) or similar environment.
  • One year of experience in management of the operation, maintenance, integration and installation of Link-16 systems at international locations.
  • One year of experience with the Carnegie-Mellon University Software Engineering Institutes (SEI) Capability Maturity Model-Integrated (CMMI). 
  • Two years of combined experience with the following technical areas or programs: TDL Systems and Interoperability; Aegis, Advanced Combat Direction System (ACDS); Command and Control Processor/Rehost (C2P/R); Common Data Link Management System (CDLMS).
  • Other operational and/or test experience using the following equipment is highly beneficial: CSDTS, NGC2P, MLIU, TOD, DLP, TIP, ADNS, ISNS, JRE, NSITE, ADSI, JTIDS, MIDS, MLST-3, DLTT, TJHS, GTE, and other supporting external communications and data monitoring equipment.
  • Must be flexible, adaptable to change, and work well in a team environment.
  • DoD Secret Clearance required. Secret Clearance with Navy or other Military agency a plus.
