S/W Engineer 4: UAV Ground Station Software Development - Advanced Development is looking for a hands-on software engineer to lead a team working in a process-oriented software development environment. Must be able to analyze requirements and design and develop software with minimal supervision. Must be familiar with development tools such as IDEs, UML modeling products and configuration control and defect tracking systems. The successful candidate will have the ability to document software design with standard modeling tools and techniques (e.g. UML) and to lead a team to a successful software design. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering with a minimum 9 years experience in software development; 6 years developing with Java and XML in either Windows or Unix environments. Experience with current trends in Service Oriented Architecture standards and technologies is required. US Citizen with a Top Secret security clearance and ability to be accessed to Special Access programs is required. Experience with event-driven architecture technologies, such as JMS and message broker software products, is desired. Fluency in UML and object-oriented analysis and design is required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Top Secret security clearance with the ability to be accessed to special access programs. Advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering. Experience with UAV software development is preferred. Experience in using Microsoft Project to lead software development; experience in Earned Value Management system, and familiarity with SEI CMM/CMMI, ISO-9100 and or IEEE software engineering practices is a plus.
